Nashotah, Wisconsin is a village in Waukesha County and within the Milwaukee-Waukesha metro area. According to the latest census information, the current population is 1366 with approximately 968 persons of voting age. The community derives its name from the Algonquin word for "twins."

Located in the southeastern part of the state, the Village of Nashotah was incorporated on 9/11/1957. Before its incorporation, Nashotah was part of the neighboring Town of Delafield and a popular destination for Midwestern train travelers. The train station located on Rasmus Road is now the home of KOK Cabinets. The station was originally known as the Pine Lake Station but in 1875 was changed to the Nashotah Station. Another historical building in Nashotah, the Red Circle Inn, is the oldest restaurant in Wisconsin.
